O-DAY

For three wonder-filled hours, O-DAY transformed Campbelltown Arts Centre into a mini art school campus where children and their families were invited to experiment with sound, art, and technology inspired by the Space YZ exhibition.

Several Space YZ artist alumni graduated from student to teacher for the event, returning to their Western Sydney roots as the illustrious hosts to a dynamic series of workshops and activities designed to challenge and inspire an emerging generation of creatives.

The timetable for the day included: (dis)Orientation Tour with curator Daniel Mudie Cunningham and the anti-socialite Motel Sisters; Karen Coull’s Cool Collage Club workshop; Play Society with Savanhdary Vongpoothorn; and Shadow Tune, an interactive sound installation and Crinkle, Pop, Pow Wow! soundscape workshops by Kate Brown.
